Toys

Local businesses, clubs, organizations, and community members enabled The Salvation Army to give over 10,000 new toys and gifts to children last Christmas. Toys are distributed through Angel Tags and the Adopt-a-Family program.

Many local businesses request Angel Tags to fill specific toy or clothing requests. Other organizations hold toy drives. Each family we assist receives toys and clothing for every child in the family 12 years old and under. We have different types of Angel Tags. Specific Tags are matched with a specific child, assigned by first name & family number. General Tags are used to give donors an idea of what our biggest needs are to fill in the gaps of children who don’t have Angel Tags sent out or that we don’t send back. If you are interested in Angel Tags, please fill out the form embedded on this page down below the text.

The most needy families are selected for the Adopt-a-Family program. Businesses or individuals who adopt families provide gifts and a substantial holiday meal. Information is confidential, but we do provide a list of specific gift wishes, including childrens’ ages and clothing sizes.
