Volunteers Gone Wild!

Hayashi Wayland dedicates 1 day out of the year that they’ve dubbed “HW Gives Back.” This year that day fell on November 4th when both their Salinas and their Carmel offices closed for the day to branch out into the community to give back.

The recipients of this financial management company’s good fortune this year was The Salvation Army Monterey Corps.

The result was that 9 dedicated employees spent the day at The Salvation Army facilities in Seaside and Sand City.

“They changed lights in the warehouse, did dishes, windows and anything else that was asked of them, with a smile.” According to Leigh Ann Garibay, Volunteer Coordinator. “These are a special brand of people.”

We would like to give a special thanks and specific recognitions to:

Autumn Rossi

“These 9 individuals were a great group of hard working people who were very happy to be able to help. I let them know that we always need bell ringers during the holiday season, and ended with inviting them to join us for a Sunday sometime.” commented Rick Leidsen, Maintenance Supervisor.

“The happy group left stating that they did not realize the many services that The Salvation Army provide and would be back to help us during the holidays. Great group of people” commented Anthony Lopes, Director of the Good Samaritan Center.
